I've got an 87 waverunner 500 that runs great, but has loose steering. While you're at speed, you have to keep the handlebars turned a little to the left or a little to the right for the ski to go straight. If you hold the handlebars in the center, the nozzle will actually wiggle on it's own and cause the ski to zig zag a little back and forth. Is there an adjustment to tighten the "slack" in the steering cable? When I grab the nozzle and move the bars, I don't feel a lot of slop, so I didn't know if there is something else on the nozzle that can get loose causing this symptom. Thanks

The steering post bushings get worn after a while so that might have something to do with yours. Check the cable ends, could be worn. No adjustment, just find the center and adjust the cable ends for that.
