I did my maintenance today on my yamaha and put the water-resistant grease in the bearing housing as specified. My question is, "How much should i put in"? I read the manual and it said .20 to .27 oz. That doesn't seem like enough to me. I just bought it last year and it looks like it was very well taken care of but i am not sure if the previous owner greased the bearing housing as specified. Can i keep pumping grease in the bearing housing until i get backflow from the nipple or will that cause problems? Any advice will help. And because i am a new owner, any tips and tricks would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

One or two pumps is all you need. It takes very very little. Too much and it will gunk up and cause problems. Do not do so much that it back flows from the nipple, it is not a car grease fitting, it takes just a bit, once a year!
