I have a 1999 kawasaki zxi 1100. It will sit and idle in the garage..as soon as I put it in the water, hit the gas it wants to die. It has a primer switch on it, If I pull that just as it is dieing out it will kick it just enough to enable me to gas it and go. Then once out on the water It runs great, once I let off the gas it stalls out...once again if I use the primer switch I am able to keep it running. All i have to do is pump the primer once. I have cleaned the carb now I don't have a clue. HELP PLEASE! :dunno:

So the chokes are gone and replaced with a primer? Usually you push primers in to make them work. You could have a bad fuel pump, low speed adjuster set wrong, pop off issue, blocked flame arrestor, bad reeds, many things. If you can, bring it to a good jetski guy that can do it for you.
