Newby Jet Ski Owner. Is it a good idea to use a 1 or 2 amp Trickle Charger on the batteries, while the batteries are inside the Jet Ski. I want to keep the batteries charged at all times during the season. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I don't like to leave any trickle charger on all time. I prefer a .75A on these small batteries, and even then I'd only turn it on maybe for 8 or 10hrs a week. During the riding season. During the off season I pull the battery put in warm location and charge about the same time only once a month.

The charger I use is a battery tender Jr. 750ma or .75A.

I actually put the battery in a uncovered small plastic tub in my back bathroom in the off season, (not used much) but an unheated garage is better then out in ski. Either way I don't recommend leaving it in the ski connected over off season. When Charging with it in the ski. I'd leave the seat unlatched with a thin board under it for some ventilation.
