New member and first time poster here. I just purchased a used 2000 Yamaha XL700 and took it out for the first time with my son yesterday.

He hit a dock piling dead straight on and caused quite a bit of damage to the bow. I need to sound like I know a little something about repair so I don't get taken to the cleaners and have a few questions:

I'm assuming this is considered structural damage correct?
Are these Yamahas made of fiberglass or SMC?
What would be the cost range to properly repair this?

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.
