Just don't fall off while its running, or you are likely to loose a foot or hand in the prop.

Agreed with Ernest T, sounds kind of a great project, but you have to have a little insurance in safety, also agreed with YamaDoo, buy one damaged, and if you have the skills as you said, just fix it and get yourself a new jetski, it will give you the exact same satisfaction than assembly one.
