Does the 1994 Yamaha Waverunner III (700 engine) have overheat indication? Alarm or buzzer or any other over heat condition reporting? I have a service manual but not an operators manual and see that it has a "thermoswitch" but how do I know when it is overheating?
Its got a thermo-switch, which shuts down the engine or limits the rpms, but I don't think there is an alarm on that model. Models that have an alarm will have a thermo-sensor in addition to the switch.
The service manual should show you how to test the thermo-switch. Common symptoms of a bad switch would be that it runs for a while OK, then only runs at low rpm or engine shuts off.
