Electrical drain

I have a 1999 Seadoo GSX. The other day while idling into the dock the main battery fuse blew out. I changed it and found that I have a significant drain on my battery and keep blowing fuses. I checked for shorts in the wiring and could not find anything. Prior to having this problem I had difficultly starting the PWC. The starter was constantly disengaging after a few revolutions of the motor. I put the battery charger on it and let it charged about an hour and then did not have the starter problem anymore. However I had the battery installed in the PWc when the charger was attached. I have checked everything I can think of and the drain seems to be either the starter selonoid or the starter. Before I go out and start buying parts has anyone ever experienced a similar problem? If so any ideas on a remedy?
