Hey its Water sport season and my FX1000BS(2003) just got in the water but is only hitting around 43MPH last year it would break 50 easy. What is going on and what kind of maintenance could fix this for me.

Many possibilities. Some common ones: Bad fuel (is it left over from last year)? Something stuck in the pump (plastic bag, fishing line, etc.), Bad plug(s).......very common to foul plugs at the start of the season. Dirty/oily air filter..............the list goes on.
