I recently traded my atv for a 2000 gp1200r millenium edition. 23.5 hours on it. The deal is it has say in a shed covered up since 2001. I have drained the gas tank and replaced with fresh gas. New plugs, new fuel filter, new battery. Turns over great, has good compression, but it won't actually fire up unless I remove the plugs and pour some gas in the cylinders. Being the fact that it has spark, and the new fuel filter has fuel in it,my only guess is the carburetors. I'm planning on removing the intake and pulling off the carbs.

I don't know too much about these carbs. What should I do? Soak them overnight in the yamaha carb soak solution? Or do I need to dissasemble them, let them soak, and then replace gaskets and diaphrams?
