I'm hoping someone can offer some suggestions. I bought a 2007 Yamaha VX110 Deluxe last year and have about 30 hours on it. Ran great last summer with tp speed of 55 mph. I retrieved it yesterday from the marina where I had it winterized and stored, and top speed was only 35 mph. I had an oil change performed over the winter. Gas tank is about 3/4 full from last season. Engine sounds smooth, but acceleration and top end speed aren't there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Second that.

The MR1 Engines like to have a new set of plugs just about every season, and probably 85% of engine troubles can be fixed by replacing them.

NGK CR9EB's are the stock plugs, though there are also iridium plugs that are usable, and less prone to fouling. If you get the iridium's, you need to order the terminal caps seperately, as they don't come with them.

I just use the standard plugs, since I have a bunch on the shelf. Should be around 4 bucks a piece.
