For those of you with a circa '99 Sea Doo GTI or similar and have oil in the hull and can't seem to find the source.........I found out today that those vintage Sea Doos have an oil tank with a seam that likes to crack with age. Problem is, you can't really see the crack. I searched hi and lo for the leak, but not until a tech told me this did I find the leak!

The fix: put the tank from (I think a 96 or 97) in your Sea Doo. It's seamless. The local repair shop is putting a used seamless tank in for $150 installed and should fix the problem.

Also, the tech said he does not recommend a block off kit on the 2-stroke Sea Doo's.
