New to the forum, and the jet ski world. Trying to get a JS 300 going, seems to be a starter problem. The starter turns clockwise, looking at the gear with the side cover off. When the starter engages, the gears freewheel and the motor does not turn over. But when you turn it the opposite way by hand, the bendix engages and the motor turns over.
I was told the previous owner put in a used starter, and that it may be spinning the wrong direction?
So the question is, looking at the photo I will post, which is the rotation the engine should turn, clockwise or counterclockwise? Also, does anyone know a good place to get the right starter, o-ring for the side cover, flywheel bolt, gaskets, and other misc. parts?

Thanks in advance !
