Kaw 650 Not starting?!?!?

I have a head scratching problem with my Kaw 650. Once you get it running it will run fine and with plenty of power. Normal if you will. Once you turn it off you have to crank on it forever to get it to run again. To the point where it completely kills the Batt. I have totally taken the carb apart thoroughly cleaned it. New plugs. Has great compression and spark. The fuel pump looks great. What could it possibly be? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Having the exact same problem with my seadoo.when ever the engine is hot it wont restart. good compression, strong spark and plenty of fuel going in . possably a problem with the automatic choke, temp sensour as i was told the advance retard might not be doing its job. as the engine goes faster its suposed to fire the spark just before the top of the stroke.

i got to get this fixed. hopefully its simple :confused:
did u just clean the carb or rebuild?
it had a carb kit put on it not so long ago . any idea of what the problem could be?
Adjusted the low speed fuel mixture screw, replaced the 2 missing bolts on the engine head and she now works fine
good job:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
