Hello im in the market of buying a jet ski i have a couple questions. I am buying a used one so not looking for the best out their but i want a decent top speed and reliability. Yamaha is considered one of the best followed by Kawasaki? Also how reliable are those two and is one easier to work on than the other? i have seen a lot of the Kawasaki 1100 zxi but i read they have a few design flaws with the trim system and carbs? certain years to stay away from on the 1100 zxi? also i want a 2 seater. thanks in advance

I'd go with a Yamaha GP1200 or GP1200r. The ZXI handle like a log and the electric VTS system had a flawed design that placed it right on the botton of the hull just waiting to water to seep in and fry the electrics. Pain in the arse to repair. Yamaha's manual quick trim system is MUCH better and bullet proof.

Good thing about the ZXI hulls is they are great wave jumpers though.:)
