I'm new to forums- so hopefully I'm doing this correctly...
Anyway, I am looking to buy an old ski a (1984 +/- Kawa 550 stand-up ski).
Do those years of skis circle in the water when you fall?
If so, can that be tested on land when looking at skis for sale?
To check or repair- is it as simple as a spring on the steering?
Also, do these skis have a bilge pump? My buddy's '89 Kawa has a button for the bilge by the start/ stop buttons. Seller told me he did not see said buttons on the 84?
Oh- I also heard one cannot buy pads for those skis anymore. Any ideas as to what to use for a replacement pad?
Any advise would be great! Thanks.
