Im looking at buying two 2004 Honda Aquatrax R12x on a double trailer with covers. Both have around 150 hrs give or take and look to be in very nice shape. hopefully going to look at them this weekend. The seller say one runs and operates perfectly fine the other needs a pgm and that its throwing an F1 error code. They took it to the dealer and had it looked over and the dealer said it needs a pgm. In the invoice it states ( Unit haves F1 error code on and only idles and seems in limp mode) their asking $5000 for the pair and wont budge on the price. I was woundering if you guys considered this a good deal. I can get a Pgm for $825

One more thing. Is their anything I should look for or check when I go and look at them. Are these skis good skis, are they Honda reliable? Also as far as I know they have been Fresh water skis.

Very dependable from my experience. My f-12x threw the code 25 last week and I sent my ECM of for the fix. $499 from Gen-tune. I used to take my Seadoo in the salt and you could tell. My Hondas are fresh water only and the engine bays and motors look nice and clean. I do keep the turbo sprayed down with the Marine 6-56. Do you know what FI code its throwing?

Is this Gen-tune a website or a member on here?
I don't remember, I know he posted a lot in the past and I tried to email him. He has his computer skill listed on eBay with 100% positive results. I never received an email but I went the eBay way and was instantly sent an address to send the computer too. It was $499. He received the computer last Friday and I got it back Tuesday. This was for the all to common FI code 25 knock sensor. I have a 2004 and a 2005 with less than 60 hrs on each. I guess Ill wait for the other one to do it but I know @Gen-Tune will fix it.

heck yea! I noticed the code 25 has something to do with the knock sensor correct?I was wondering does the reprogramming completely get rid of the code 25? will the knock sensor still function a do what it is supposed to do after reprogramming it?

I know it removes the code 25, I am guessing but it probably disables the knock sensor as well. that's my guess.
