MFD-erratic RPMS

Anyone know what the fix is for the MFD reading low rpms? Is it just a bad MFD? Some days it will be right on the nose, others its 1000-2000rpm low. Its not the CDI, as I've run a few different ones lately.

Try to reset the MFT. Push and hole mode and set at the same time for a few sec. the MFT will enter CAL mode and reset.
I'll give that a shot, thanks.
Nut, I have the up-date for the erratic RPM, I'll hunt it down when I'm not on the water today and see if I can catch a signal long enough to upload it.

Thanks. I did the "CAL" thing, but haven't run it on the water since to see what it did.
I have the update but don't remember if you have a Fuji or Domestic, so I'll write this up like the Fuji.

Open the electical box
Disconnect the yellow wire from the MFD at the terminal board.
Find the green/red going from the stator to the CDI box and splice in the yellow wire so the three hang together.
I would just fabricate a little jumper wire to tie the three together or maybe use a scotch lock and tap into the green/red wire.

Oh if it's a Domestic engine substitute Violet for green/red above.
Got it working with just the reset, but I'll do the update also (1050 w/ tripples is running about 7100-7200). I see that the reset clears the hour meter too. Thanks again for the help guys.
