Need help - XP electrical issues

I have absolutely no electric power to my ski, which is weird considering last time I used it there were no issues. Anyways, I've replaced the battery, checked all connections and fuses, and checked the resistance for each line using the shop manual. Still no luck. So, I have 2 questions - with the safefy lanyard attached, I'm supposed to see 0 ohms resistance, but I my multimeter is reading 0.6 ohms. Not sure if this is too much (i.e. is loop closed). Does anybody know? Finally, if anyone has any other ideas I'd like to hear them. I'm wondering if the MPEM is shot or if maybe the safety switch is bad. I know the DESS was a bit eratic last few times I used the machine....
