I've recently purchased a 99 xl1200 waverunner. I've rode pwc's inthe past and when the throttle was not engaged it wouild sit at a dead stop. On this waverunner when there is no throttle engaged it will till move forward. I've read in the manual something about trolling speed but not quite sure if this is how the machine should operate.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Tim

I think SeaDoo makes a ski with a neurtal, but all the rest turn the impeller when the engine is running, so you are always going to be moving forward or reverse if the engine is on even at idle. Kill the engine to stop motion. On some skis you can hold the reverse gate at the half-way point and sort of maintain position at idle, but much easier just to kill the engine.
