Hey Scott, I used to ride snowmobiles for 25 years, rode only Ski Doo sleds. I liked how they ran so I now three Seadoo skis all supercharged. Couple of questions. Where are going to use your ski, fresh or salt water? Are you looking for a performance ski, or low end cruiser? Whats your budget?

I lean towards Sea Doo primarily because I like the fact the their motors are built in Austria. They also have alot of bells and whistles. They are 4 stroke and supercharged. But are also very reliable. The only other brand to look at would be Yamaha. They also are the only two companies to build a full line of jet boats. Stay away from Honda and Kawasaki, Honda has ceased production, and Kawasaki may of well have.:2thumbsup:

Question on the Honda AquaTrax. When talking to local Honda PWC stores I am being told that production has been stopped or slowed 80% because of the large amount of new inventory still available and the national economy. Is this just the normal BS you would expect or some truth? The Honda website is still showing the models up to 2009 and the local Honda dealers are still get PWC's and parts. Also a Google search has not come up with anything about discontinuing production. :dunno:

They stopped production for 2010, supposedly to move the PWC production facility overseas. Honda makes some pretty good skis, but have done absolutely no marketing, so sales have been very sloooooow!

You can still find new 2007 model skis sitting in show rooms, and the prices are good on the F12 and F12X models, but they still want too much for the F15(X)models. Question is will the dealer still be there next year when you need a repair......many are going out, and they already have a limited number of local dealers for many areas.

Will they be back next year, or is this just the prelude for them to quit PWC production all together? That is the question.

I think parts will be available for a while, but you had better be good with a wrench, cause you may be doing the repairs yourself............good thing they are pretty reliable if you baby the turbo.

Waste Gate problems on the Honda Turbo

Did you see the post about the waste gates sticking open or closed due to saltwater use. Says no matter how well you maintain them they either stick open or shut. Goes on to say Honda is giving customers the middle finger warranty and stating it will have to be a total turbo replacement  5,000.:costumed-smiley-019:angry-smiley-014::smilie_schreck: They say that it is part of the exhaust system and won't fix parts.
