In my opinion, if they both need that much work, you might as well just find 2 working ones. Unless you know alot about marine engines and plan on doing the work yourself, you're gonna get worked by any shop that does the work. I needed to have about 80% of the electrical system on my Jet Ski replaced, as well has had to have the carbs rebuilt and a few other miscellaneous things, and it cost me about $1800. I could've bought a running model of the same Jet Ski for that amount.

Just my 2 pennies.
