:action-smiley-083: I just bought a pair of 2004 Yamaha FX140's with 69 hours on them. I have grown up working on cars/trucks/boats all my life but never have maintenced jet ski's:dunno:. What do I need to do before use?, after use? etc.

Thanks,
Ben

make sure you have fuel, oil and battery voltage before you go to the water. But clean it thoroughly when you return inside and out. Flush it. remember to start engine first before the hose and then disconnect the hose, couple of quick squirts of the throttle to clear the water from the water box and shut down. Clean the pump unit and impeller housing thoroughly if using in salt water. You can leave the seats a jar in storage to stop condensation inside the ski (and fuel tank) and a bit of WD spray with no silicone content (it eats into the rubbers on the engine) and done.
