If I connect my inductive timing light to either ignition wire with the respective plug removed from the cylinder & grounded, I get a nice strobe from the light and I see a good spark from the plug.
However, when I install the plugs into the cylinder, I don't get any strobe from the light & I assume no spark. I've tried different plugs, new & old with the same results. I've check that the ignition wires are installed properly on the boot and spark plugs. I've trimmed a portion of the ignition wires to get a good connection and still the same problem.
Good spark so long as I don't install the plugs into the cylinders otherwise nothing. If I install one plug and not the other, the uninstalled plug will spark but the other won't. Why?
