Greetings, just purchased a 97 Wave Venture 1100 as a project ski. I was told by the previous owner that he took it into a dealer and was told #2 cylinder was siezed so it needed a rebuild. I got it home and noticed that inside on the bottom there was a bunch of oil (and sludge) sitting in there. I feel this is odd because the oil resivor is still full. Does anyone have an idea what this might be from? Thanks.

So after working to get the oil out of the bottom of the hull I found some metal pieces (can never be good..). Well it turns out that I can feel a big hole in the bottom of the motor at the rear cylinder... Looks like I will need to look for an engine now. Oh well, I guess that is just how it goes. Anyone have tips on getting a motor without a decent replacement core?? Will keep posted on the progress as I take the motor out..
