hello, i have a question on an old jet ski that i have
it has not been running since 04 but ran fine before .

its been sitting out in the weather ever since about 6yrs .

my question is , what is the chances of it starting with no problems and what should i do before attempting to start to minimize trouble ?

lol , or should i just junk it .

edit : its a kawasaki 900 zxi 96
thx for any suggestions .

I'd pull the plugs, hook up a new battery, and just see if it will turn over. If it will turn over you have a chance. Clean the carbs, fuel filter, and plugs, put in new fuel, check hoses for dry rot and give it a go.

If the ski was properly winterized after its last run you have a chance. If not, I'd say your chances of getting it running without big repairs are slim.

Before you crank it unscrew all your spark plugs and pour a good teaspoon of 2 stroke oil into each of your cylinders. Sitting that long they are probably dry as a bone.
