I have a 1994 Tigershark Barracuda 640 that has a stutter every now and then in the ignition. I can't get the electrical box (sealed shut) open to test the coils or even replace them. Does anyone know how to get the box open without damaging it?
It's a metal box that appears to be glued closed with a white sealant.
This is an old post, but you could unbolt from hull because voltage regulator is right by carrier bearing midway on driveshaft. Then maybe use a utility knife and only run it a 1/8” deep at most along outer edge because case isnt very thick then use a thin putty knife to help wedge/pry open gently. Goodluck, been there done that!
