I have a 2003 fx140 that needs a: drive shaft, impeller, and impeller housing. I have found all three of those as one unit on ebay for a 2000 waverunner 1200 something or other.
Looking at parts sites, the part numbers for the housing are the same, and the part numbers for the shaft and impeller are very close.
For example the part number for one is 68y-12345-00-00, and the other would be 66n-12345-00-00.
So just those first 3 numbers are different. Would those parts work on my ski?

I doubt it would work. The 1200 is a 2 stroke 3 cylinder ski and yours is 4 stroke 4 cylinder. Some of the Yamaha part numbers are very specific down to the model and year of the ski. The 66n and 68y are designations for the different engines. The parts may look completely different just like the completely different engines.

yeah, I also noticed when i went back to look, the part number for the impeller duct is the same, but the impeller housing is different.
Also, mine has 2 impeller housing units, the other only one, which would make the drive shaft too short.

oh well, thanks for the reply
