Plastic thread repair

I recently purchased a GSX Limited. The intake grate is broken and the threads in the plastic that the back of the grate bolts to have been pulled out. Anyone have some ideas for repair, other than replacing the piece. Maybe plastic weld or JB weld would work. Any idea what type of plastic it is. I think it is the bottom of the pump housing but I am not sure. THANKS
