i have a 97 slt 700 that is revving wide open and wont shut off unless i choke it. cleaned carbs, then swapped carbs from a running ski, and still doing it. any ideas?? John

sounds to me that your cable is sticking ir maybe a kink in it. check the cables and make sure they are working properly.
