So I am about half bald, and am trying to figure out a way to keep from cooking my scalp when out on the water. A baseball hat CLEARLY isn't staying on with a 40+mph headwind, so what do other folks do? I can't be the only one with this problem,

check out hiking stores for 'Buffy' headgear. Work great & look good.

I will definitely look into it. I have a scalp-specific sunscreen, but would much prefer a hardware solution for extended days.

Bumped to say "advice taken" because I bought two of them and went and played on the water with them this weekend. 60mph into a headwind and the buff was still solidly in place. These things are so light and comfy you hardly notice them.

I also noticed Underarmour makes some decent "skull caps" that look to be designed for wearing under a bike helmet, but I was already holding 2 Buffs, and the Buffs are at least interesting patterns.
