Hi can anyone tell me if the engine has to pulled to replace the rear crank seal on my "96" 1100 Yamaha. Thank you Ken.

To properly pressure test it, the engine would need to have the intake and exhaust removed so the ports can be plugged. Having the engine out is the way to go. I don't think it would be easier or even possible to try it while in the hull. Also your angle of sight will be worthless so put it on a work bench then test the crankcase for any leaks.

Hi I got the engine out....that was fun... how does the coupling come off the crank shaft? any advice would be great!
