I will be rebuilding my engine with one of my cylinders blown, and was wondering if I would be able to use a forged piston in one and use the OEM piston in the other. Or should I get another cast piston(possibly a Pro-X)?

The only way you can use mixed pistons is if both pistons weigh the same, otherwise your engine would be off balance. It woudl work, for a while, but would eventually fail. Best bet, replace with OEM, unless you are going to a larger bore.

After reading about forged pistons I ended up not doing it due to the extra machining that would entail to the sleeves. I ended up buying OEM and had to go 0.5 O/S and bought the pistons from eBay for 28 bucks each and the rings were 18 a set! Not too bad I thought!
