I just rebuilt my js550, fresh pistons, rings top end, etc. I here ur supposed to run a richer mix to break it in. 32:1 as opposed to a 40:1 for the first ride or two. But i also hear that u shouldnt do that cuz ur engine runs lean and it can get to hot. The lean part makes sense but the hot part doesnt cuz the oil lubricates and does almost nothing for cooling. I know i gotta follow the break in steps but should i not worry about the mixture. Can someone give me a definite answer, im not tryin to ruin my new engine. Thanks
