i have 770 engine that crapped out. water filled the rear cylinder. Dismantled the top end and can't find the source. Put a new head gasket in and it still filled up. Since the crank is sitting in salt water I would rather start over. I have a 640 engine sitting on shelf with intake and exhaust manifolds. the difference is it is a single carb vs dual on 770. I have the stator also.

Is it possible to get the 640 to work in the ski? Will the CDI box work? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. The 640 engine just needs a to be honed and new rings. Also will the 770 intake fit with the dual carbs?
