Replacing Fuel Filter on 2011 STX 15F

I did a search but could not find a thread on this. I've got issues with my 2011 STX 15F (after running for 20+ minutes, on acceleration it pulsates every second or so with power, no power, power, no power, etc.), and I porpoise along the water.

I'm going to start with basic stuff like replacing what is probably the original fuel filter. Is there some easier way to get this thing out, other than wishing I had smaller hands and bendable tools?
Good luck! I did it without the exhaust manifold on and had a rough time.

Don't know what the exhaust manifold has to do with it...

Remove the glove box, then go through there to disconnect the hoses, then pull the pump. It's sort of a tight fit, but not that bad.

Use some different colored tie-wraps to mark the hoses and nipples so you get them back in the right places.
If they want to go through the engine compartment. More room. Either way, it’s tough.
