I think I've committed ever mistake you can make when it comes to jetskis. To avoid the issues I've had...check out to see if it's been sunk. Check the engine bay...if it's clean ..too clean then ask some pointed questions. Check to see if there is any corrosion on the electrical box..starter...and look for barnacles on drive shaft...LOL yes, I found those inside the engine bay.

Get a flashlight and look at the jetpump (if you can) see if there is a bunch of corrosion on the inside..and see if there are any cavitation pits on the impeller...

I even found a ski that had a hole in the hull right underneath the port side bunk...didn't see it until I put it in the water and saw the bilge filling with water...LOL

Yes, I'm a true blue idiot but I love these darn things...
