Does anyone know what adapter to buy to connect the SeaDoo Schrader valve with a conventional fuel pressure gauge?

It is for a 2004 GTX with the 4-Tec engine.

I can't seem to locate one that specifically states it can be used on a SeaDoo PWC, they only refer to automotive applications.

Off the top of my head, no, but check at Autozone. I believe the pressure tester in the loaner tools has a selection of adapters.

Thanks for the advice about Autozone. I checked out the kits available at the local auto parts stores including Autozone and came up empty, none seemed to fit. I didn't want to cut into the fuel line if I could avoid it but Tee'ed into it as a last resort.

The fuel pressure without the engine running was 41psi. The spec is 44 psi.

The line pressure would drop to 39 to 40 psi after sitting a few minutes but would not go below.

I pulled the injectors and fuel rail and pressurized the system again. None of the injectors dripped even a drop after several minutes.

I replaced the injectors and started the engine. The gauge fluctuated between 41 to 44 psi. Is the pressure supposed to fluctuate that much when running?

When I revved the engine up to around 2500 RPM, the pressure would drop to 39 psi then increase to about 43 psi and fluctuate up and down +/- 1 psi. Is this normal?

The fuel pump module was replaced by the previous owner and only has about 30 hours on it. It is an OEM SeaDoo unit by Bosch.

Does this sound like a faulty fuel pressure regulator?

Any reason you went after the fuel pressure ? I personally can't see where you are going to notice a 3 psi difference when riding. You might pull the unit out and check the pump filter. It is normal for it to bleed off when shut down. How long does it take to increase from 39 to 43 when running ? Should be almost instant.

The ski is idling rough and it hesitates when accelerating. It runs fine all day at 5000 RPM, drop below it and it hesitates again.

The pressure increases quickly from 39 to around 44 psi when revved up. Should I see more than 44 psi when the engine is revved?

My next step will be to remove the pump and inspect the filters and lines to make sure they are clear.

40-44 should be fine. I would be looking at something else other than the fuel pump. If you had lack of fuel, top end would suffer greatly. Try checking for vacuum leaks.
