Seadoo cutting out at max speed

I have a 94 seadoo that ran great last weekend. This past Sat it was very hard to get started. Once I got more than enough fuel in the line (Choke and throttle for a good 10 min), it started and rode fine until I maxxed out the speed. As soon as it opened up completely, all power cut off. Any suggestions? We changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, checked the carb. At a total loss.

Thanks!

I had a 92 with a problem that sounds similar. At a certain point just past 1/2 throttle the engine would die off until I backed off the throttle. I was convinced it was a fuel issue until exhausting all fuel possibilities. Turned out to be the coil/CDI unit. On my ski the CDI and coil are a single unit. I don't know about yours. Hope that helps.
I would suggest cleaning the fuel lines, especially ones that might get clogged inside the gas tank. I had the same problem and I cleaned the tube that sucks up the gas, there was a pinhole opening in the tube that was a big as a marble.
when you say power loss do you mean engine power? Elec. power? what, The chance of having water or a hole in the line or trash build up is not very likely, unless your ski has been sitting for a while. I need to know more about the events leadind up to the prob. does it power up on the hose (out of the water). you said 1994 what model is the ski XP-Sp-GS what? twin carbs single? alot of questions left open to diag. your problem!
