A friend of mine purposed me buying his 2006 yamaha fx 160hp today for $2500.00 (w/o trailer). I realize it sounds like a great deal. I have ridden it before and has less than 45hrs on it.

1. Is this def a good deal?
2. what mods are needed to out run his 2006 stock gp1300?
3. thank you for reading.

Hey there if you know the ski's history it sounds like a good deal. I would estimate there to be about a ten mile an hour difference in the two skis. to make up ten miles an hour you would need about 50 more horse power. Having said that a super charger is the only way for sure. :D

1. Sounds like a really, really, really, great deal.
2. Outlaw is correct. Stock the FX HO will do around 59 and the GP around 66. With $1500 in mods. you will be lucky to get the FX to 63, so don't plan to race unless he gives you a really big head start.
3. Your welcome.
