Well, I am a newbie with this but, is there a special way to start my Yamaha GP1200R? I just bought one, want to start it outside the water to test it (because it's a sencond hand one) but when we press the button the motor swings but it does not start.

There is petrol in it and oil, plus we put the hose in the flush pipe but it does not start, like I said, it swings and you can here it sounds like a car without petrol in it.

What should I do... plz help me...

:dunno:

First things first, do you have spark?? Try to narrow it down to fuel issue? Spark issue? You need fuel, spark, and air (compression) to start.

AND....Do NOT turn on the water for flushing BEFORE the engine starts!!!!!!

So what happens if you turn on the water for flushing BEFORE the engine starts? I presume it distroys the engine somehow, but how? Water fills the cylinders?
