HELP!!! Can't figure this out... This JS300 seemed to be running fine. Then it started dying hard, and was hard to restart. Then when you would throttle it up it would whine really loud and die immediately...almost like it locked up (but it wasn't). This went on for a while (but couldn't ride it), then it wouldn't even turn over. After checking the starter relay (it was OK), I took off the starter and heard rattling when I shook the starter. I took it apart and it was mangled inside (broken parts everywhere). I got a new starter, installed it, and thought I had it figured out. However, when I started it the first time, the whining and hard stop happened again. So, think my flywheel clutch is stuck and makes the starter spin while the engine is running. But I'd really like a second opinion before I tear into this. Anybody ever seen this?
