STX 1100 DI Blown Exhaust?

3374 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Knightofwyte
Help! I have a 2001 1100STX DI and have blown two exhaust hoses. It's the
5" hose between the manifold & waterbox. The lines that feed into the bottom of the manifold are clear. There are no warning lights that it's overheating and has a good stream of water out the side. It is not run out of the water for more than 20 seconds. With only 39 hours on the engine, this seems quite premature.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions of what could be checked? Thanks.

try replacing with a marine hose from like west marine
Ditto, or a cheaper solution but just as effective is to replace to blown hose with Silicone hose. You can get it in any length and size you want from http://www.hightempsilicone.com/c=haLDoHRgxmtksddbAMeMC8W8F/ ====HIGHTEMPSILICONE==== It's going to be less expensive than marine specific hose from west marine but will last just as long.
