I recently bought my first Waverunner after owning seadoo for the last 20 something years. When trailering the manual says use the bow eye and stern eye. Do not attach ropes or tie downs to any other part of the watercraft other than the bow eye and stern eyes to secure the watercraft to the trailer.

I've always hooked the tiedowns to the tow hook so I don't have any ratchet straps short enough. Anyone know of any that are short enough?

What do you guys use?

Hi, I just picked my VX up a few weeks ago too. The guy at my dealer said he rarely uses transom straps on the back, especially if your trips are not long. He said as long as you're not driving too crazy, taking turns too fast, etc., you don't need them. Personal preference I guess depending on how far you plan on traveling with it. I did see some short Boat Buckle brand transom straps that came in 2', 4', and 6' I believe. They're a really good brand from what I've heard.

Here's what I do:

I tie a knot in the buckle strap to shorten it and trim the main strap.

I have this on both sides of the stern.
