Have a 2011 Kia Sorrento, 2.4 cylinder,front wheel drive. My is will I have issues pulling asingle jetski up a boat ramp? Just wondering how many tow with a 4 cylinder and what if any issues you have towing, launching or retrieving?

I'd look at it this way....

How much does your ski weigh? Let's say it ways 800 pounds (for easy math). Pulling the ski up the ramp would be like driving up a small incline w/ 4, 200 lb people in the vehicle.

If your vehicle can do that, then it can pull a ski out of the water.

maybe in cabin weight... but what about the weight thats directed only on the back half of your car axles...

im sure you can find the answers from KIA

Good point, I missed the whole "front wheel drive" part. :)

You're right, I'm betting the owner's manaul may list max-weight per axle and max towing capacity.

I used to own a 2009 Subaru Forester, until I had two jet skis. It would handle one just fine. But two was too much. It was all wheel drive with a 2.5 liter. One of the ramps was just sand and it would bog out in the sand towing two skis out. It would tow ok on the road, but no power for excellerating. Your towing capacity is probably between 2000 - 2500 lbs.
