Hi everyone,

I just purchased a 2002 Seadoo GTX Limted with trailer. It is my first PWC.

I have it in my garage at our lake house and it is about 400' from the garage to the lakefront over somewhat uneven terrain and a slight downhill slope.

I don't want to use my Tahoe or Suburban to haul the ski from the garage to the lake over the yard. I do have a Craftsman 17.5 HP LT1500 lawn tractor. I know they make a tow ball/hitch for small tractors, but I think that the ski is too heavy to be pulled with that tractor. I know from lifting the trailer toungue off of the Suburban that there's a lot of weight there.

Is anyone using a lawen tractor to get their ski to/from the water? If so, anything like the LT1500? HP? Type of tires?

Is anyone using an ATV to do the job? If so, how big? 4wd?

Thanks for your help!

As far as ATV's go, any ATV that is rated to pull at least what your jet ski and trailer weigh will do. I would go with something like a Yamaha Grizzly 700 though. As far as a lawn tractor goes, I really have no idea? I have a push mower from Home Depot and I know that one would be out of the question.
