OK I've only ever done stainless impellers on Kawi's. In the past year I've ended up with nothing but Yamahas. How do you get the new impeller to fit in the housing. I now have three impellers 2 Solas and 1 Stock and every single one is just a bit too big for the housings. I do know these are the right parts and I'm not trying to stuff a 155 mm in a 144 mm housing.
I've got the WSM housing and a stock housing.
Do I have to send it out to a machine shop and have them matched? If so anyone know a good shop in SoCal?

Yamaha 1200 SUV 2000 impeller change

I have a CD owners manuel but it doesn't give any detailed steps on how to remove the impeller.'I have the cables off the back and the four bolts from the boat plate plus the little 10mm bolt to the left and the suction hose.
I was thinking the whole unit would come out at that point and it moves around a little but it seems the spline on the shaft is stuck.
Is there something else I have to take loose?
