I purchased a 97 Kawasaki 1100 STX that had overheated. I found the water lines clogged with oxidation or scale (white snow looking stuff) and figure that is what happened. I was thinking of filling it with CLR maybe to loosen it then flushing. I have it apart and have blown a lot of it out with compressed air but want to get it all. I remember in car coolant systems you had to neutralize after cleaning to protect the alum. Is there a better way?
