I have a new Yamaha VX. I have a new plastic PWC lift. When I drive up on the lift, it hits the VX's bow tie-up loop right at the lifts first wheel. This causes an abrupt "hit". Once I get past this, I can continue on the lift without too much trouble.

My question is, isn't the bow hitting this plastic PWC lift eventually going to destroy the front end of my Yamaha?

And yes, I am approaching it as slow as possible, at idle speed. The VX has no reverse.

Thanks in advance!

Is this a floating dock? If so, what brand is it? That first impact should be at an oblique enough angle (with the hull of the PWC pushing the dock slightly underwater) that it shouldn't be harming your boat. It almost sounds like your dock is sitting a little higher in the water than anything I have experience with though.
