I've got a 1999 model Yamaha 1200xlt waverunner, on which the starter or some component of the starter has failed. I tried crossing out the relay and it didn't work. I simply get a whizzing sound when trying to start and I know the battery is good.
How can I get what water is in the engine/exhaust out, or pump some antifreeze through the sytem. In the past I have either just blown out what water was in there by starting quickly and/or used antifreeze through the flush port. Can I pump antifreeze through the flush port or does this risk damaging something in the system. Would compressed air work and if so where would I inject it? I am/was hoping to make it until spring to deal with the starter replacement. I am not terribly concerned with getting antifreeze in the block but I am with getting any water in there out. Thanks in advance for your help
